The remainder of the Cabot Trail and hiking Middle Head

We headed out on a bright sunny morning headed to the other side of the park to hike the Middle Head Trail.  But first, we say goodbye to Cheticamp, a cute town that was nice to stay in (though our motel was probably our least favorite thus far).  On the way out of town we pass this shop:

Proud to be hookers - hahaha!  Then on up the trail stopping only at one place, the Groovy Goat!

Then on to the Keltic Lodge, where we had a nice lunch to get us ready for the Middle Head Trail.  The trail head is in the parking lot of the lodge!  It was a lovely hike, which took us about 2 hours with lots of photo and rest stops.  It was a more challenging hike terrain wise than yesterday, but not quite as long.  It was long enough though!

Do lots of pinecones mean a tough winter??

Got back to the lodge and they were getting ready for a wedding - what a great location!

And apparently the groom was RCMP!

Checked into our nice little hotel in Baddeck and had a lovely dinner next door.  Tomorrow - on to Antigonish!
