The Nova Scotia Blog is Born!
This is how it goes in our home - Bill and I negotiate our next trip, I plan obsessively sometimes for a year or more, run the plan by Bill and then I begin to book. Yesterday I booked our first accommodations, so our Nova Scotia trip blog is born! Our big trip this year was a Panama Canal cruise (blog still pending because I messed up where my photos go in a failed attempt at organization) for my 60th birthday celebration. In 2017 Bill turns 70, and this is his dream trip. We've long talked about it, we love road trips, and the time is right. Our road trips are never from point A to point B... we always meander, visit friends and relatives, and see other stuff. So the general plan for this trip is drive from central Virginia to Harrison New York to visit a cousin of Bill's whom I've never met, then on to Pembroke Mass to visit a friend before heading into Canada via New Brunswick. I'll keep the rest of the Nova Scotia part of the plan to myself and let it unfold as I report on it. But the first stop in Nova Scotia will be at A Seafaring Maiden B&B in Annapolis Royal, booked yesterday, and marking the beginning of this blog! Our departure date is after Labor Day next year... so there will be a long time before another post, but the excitement builds for our trip!
